St. Joseph East Ongoing Exhibits

The club has an ongoing exhibit in the lobby of St Joseph East Hospital on Eagle Creek Dr. in southeast Lexington. The exhibit is managed by the public arts non-profit, LexArts, which the camera club is a member of. For the past two years, we have exhibited four times a year for two months at a time so typically we have been two months on followed by two months off. The other months are used for solo exhibits of works by other established local artists.

I have been coordinating the exhibit for the past year. It is a wonderful venue for our members to have their work displayed locally and especially for emerging photographers to get their feet wet in another aspect of photography in an encouraging and non-competitive manner. Typically there is room for about ten photographers to participate in each exhibit. I have always received good feedback on the quality of our work displayed.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the club has had an unusually long run at SJE from March through June of 2020. Some of the images below are from our current exhibit entitled “Reflections”. We hope to resume our participation in this exhibit soon and the Board is discussing how we might best accomplish that, The other images are from a solo exhibit from 2019 of my work which I entitled “Fall”.
